Developers of The Elvis Presley Ranch Receive Zoning Approval Recommendation for Themed Resort Destination

MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Legions of Elvis fans across the globe will soon be able to experience another side of the music legend''s life by visiting a resort to be built on land once owned by The King of Rock ''n'' Roll.
The resort includes 157 acres of ranch property in Walls, Mississippi, located near Memphis, that Elvis bought in 1967 and named ``The Circle G Ranch.'''' The ranch features several fan attractions including Elvis and Priscilla Presley''s ``Honeymoon House'''', Elvis'' barbeque pit, horse stables and riding area as well as a scenic footbridge Elvis built across one of the property''s two lakes.
The DeSoto County Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval for rezoning to planned unit development (PUD) of The Elvis Presley Ranch.

Spanning a total of 802 acres and located only 15 minutes from Graceland, The Elvis Presley Ranch will include a number of stellar attractions including a museum, retail center, restaurants, family entertainment center, wedding chapel, hotel and convention center, honeymoon cottages, concert auditorium and a 53,000 square foot replica of Elvis'' dream house. The resort will also have luxury condominiums built on two premier golf courses.
Total development costs are estimated at more than $517 million.
