RCI and I.C.E. Gallery Launch Global Marketing Alliance

PARSIPPANY, NJ -- Resort Condominiums International, LLC (RCI) announced yesterday that it has entered into a long-term global marketing alliance with International Cruise & Excursion Gallery, Inc. (``I.C.E. Gallery''), the world's leading provider of cruises for timeshare owners.
Under the agreement, I.C.E. Gallery will fulfill all cruise requirements for RCI members of both RCI Points and RCI Weeks beginning in the second quarter of 2001. Both corporate identities and brands will be maintained and the benefits of RCI membership will continue to be differentiated from the benefits of I.C.E. Gallery membership, allowing RCI-affiliated resorts to offer the membership benefits of both companies in different scenarios, as is currently the case.
``The increased cruise volumes generated through this alliance will soon allow for even better cruise vacation values and a broader range of cruise opportunities for both RCI and I.C.E. I.C.E. Gallery affiliated resorts will gain from the immediate expansion of I.C.E. Gallery marketing and sales programs afforded by the alliance; RCI resort affiliates and members will gain from the world-class cruise innovations and fulfillment provided by the I.C.E. Gallery. ``This alliance truly offers a winning proposition for both companies as well as developers and vacation owners worldwide,'' commented I.C.E. Gallery CEO John Rowley.
The agreement also calls for close cooperation in the area of resort marketing, allowing for developers to seamlessly integrate the I.C.E. Gallery membership benefits and the RCI membership benefits within their product offerings. I.C.E. Gallery and RCI will cooperate to ensure seamless integration of the respective memberships into the points based initiatives of both companies going forward.
