Miami, Fla., October 24, 2000 -- Trendwest Resorts South Pacific Limited, the recently launched subsidiary of Trendwest Resorts, Inc. (NASDAQ:TWRI), has selected Interval International as its vacation exchange provider for the Worldmark South Pacific Club, its points based holiday club. Harold Derrah, managing director of Trendwest Resorts South Pacific and Craig M. Nash, chairman and chief executive officer of Interval International, made the announcement.

The agreement includes all resorts in the WorldMark South Pacific Club. The initial resort properties to be affiliated with Interval are:

· WorldMark at Denarau Island, Fiji – 10 units, being part of the first stage development of 76 units, with provision to increase to a 200-unit resort.

· WorldMark at Calypso Plaza -- 10 units in a luxury mixed use resort on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia;

· WorldMark at Golden Beach -- 9 units in a new mixed use resort on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia.

· WorldMark at Trinity Links -- 12 units in a new resort adjacent to an international standard golf course in Cairns, tropical Northern Queensland, Australia.

Mr. Derrah advised that additional resort properties were being sourced in the Sydney region and in New Zealand.

“We selected Interval as our exchange services provider because of their developer support capabilities in the region and their understanding of points-based vacation clubs,” said Derrah. “Interval was the right choice to handle all components of the flexible-use product we have introduced to the South Pacific region.”

“Trendwest’s projects will provide exceptional vacation experiences and further enhance the quality of Interval’s exchange network,” said Nash. “We are very pleased to build on our existing relationship with Trendwest and work with them as they continue their international expansion plans.”

Interval International has served the vacation-ownership industry since 1976, offering innovative products and leading the industry with the highest level of quality, service and value. Interval has attracted leading independent and brand name developers to its network, which now includes approximately 1,800 resorts in more than 75 countries.
